RESIDENTIAL • COMMERCIAL • SCHOOLS • HOSPITALS

PROFICIENT — With our experience and our professional training, our employees are fully capable of locating a wide range of buried utility lines in all different environments.

DYNAMIC — In addition to all the electrical, phone, data, sewer, storm drain, water, and gas, we have successfully located buried wells, tanks, railroad tracks and three miles of underground river.

LOCATING METHODS —

GROUND PENETRATING RADAR —

G.P.R. is a geophysical method that uses radar pulses to image the subsurface. G.P.R. uses electromagnetic radiation and detects the reflected signals from subsurface structures. Both metallic and non-metallic utilities can be detected using G.P.R.

RADIO FREQUENCY —

R.F. uses the principles of electromagnetics to detect underground utilities. This principle works on the basis that a current flowing along a conductor creates a magnetic field which extends around the conductor (utility line) in concentric circles.  This magnetic field is then received with a handheld device and therefore detected. Remote transmitters serve in locating non-metallic pipe and conduit where access is available.
